The 4:8 Principle Synopsis of all Synopses

4:8 Principle Synopsis of Synopses

Yeah, that’s right! I’m taking the key points from all nine articles and putting them here! Here they are:

From Article 1:

  1. Joy is innate (in us)
  2. Focus and flex your mental muscles. By ‘flexing’ we mean doing difficult word problems, focusing on schoolwork, and overall just using your brain (You know, that wad of gum God chewed up and stuck in your skull?)
  3. You’re not perfect, so don’t flip out when you’re not.
  4. Your thoughts drive you toward  actions. Example: If I want to punch your face in, and I dwell on it enough, then I probably will.
  5. Thoughts move you forwards or backwards. No thought is neutral.

From article 2:

  1. We have the choice to be positive or negative people.
  2. It is within our capacity to do all that Phillipians 4:8 says.
  3. Life is never completely good or completely bad. (in other words, there is no heaven or hell on earth.)
  4. Your thinking is not fixed, it IS changeable.

From article 3:

  1. Positive thinking does not produce immediate change.
  2. Everyone is equal on Earth.
  3. You get out of your mind what you put in.

From article 4:

  1. To be sure in your self image:
  1. Recognize inspiration. Who or what drives you?
  2. Forgive others and yourself.
  3. Focus on your strengths.
  4. Stay physically, mentally and spiritually fit.
  5. Live joyfully.

From article 5:

  1. Pain is what you make it out to be.
  2. Perception isn’t necessarily reality.
  3. Emotions are controllable.
  4. Don’t make an important decision while you’re emotional.

From article 6:

  1. Your positive and negative sides constantly fight. The one that wins is the one you entertain.
  2. We have 2 thought processes: actionary and reactionary.
  3. Thinking negative thoughts puts you in a ‘vicious cycle’, but thinking positive thoughts puts you in a ‘virtuous cycle’.

From article 7:

  1. Guard your mind.
  2. You need to guard your mind because:
  1. My thoughts make what happens to me happen.
  2. You remember EVERYTHING.
  1. Happy people don’t necessarily have more to be happier about. They just handle situations and thoughts differently.
  2. Some good habits:
  1. Feed your mind positive things.
  2. Start the day happily.
  3. Keep the happy going throughout the day.

From article 8:

  1. Everything you come in contact with can change you.
  2. Your mind is healthy if it works for you, not against you.
  3. To be who you want to be, you must think more positively.
  4. You become as mentally (and physically) fit or unfit as you want to be.

From article 9:

  1. Gratitude= appreciation of others.
  2. A negative mind focuses on what’s lacking, but a positive mind thinks about what they have.
  3. Gratitude can cure negative emotions.

From the Synopsis of Synopses:

  1. You’re not perfect, so don’t flip out when you are not.
  2. We have the choice to be positive or negative people.
  3. You get out of your mind what you put in.
  4. Forgive yourself and others.
  5. Emotions are controllable.
  6. Thinking positive thoughts puts you in a ‘virtuous cycle’, while thinking negative thoughts puts you in a ‘vicious cycle’.
  7. Guard your mind.
  8. Your mind is healthy if it works for you, not against you.
  9. A negative mind focuses on what’s lacking, but a positive mind focuses on what it has.
