Who are we?
We are a team of teens along with a network of other teen members, associates, and guests all learning and sharing about business. (We have one adult helping to keep things moving and coordinating the page. His name is Lyle, but he is like one of us, only he knows a whole bunch more. His online name is lylizm. )
How did we get started?
The short story is that a group of guys got together to read the book “Do Hard Things.” The adult of the group challenged the teens to take action on their ideas and they wanted to learn about business. He suggested teaching them about business by developing a page that would help other teens as well.
Why are we doing this?
We believe that teens can have a successful business and need the tools to do it. Teens can do much more than most people think. We want teens to think about business beyond babysitting and lawn mowing, although those can be good places to start.
What exactly is Teen Business Central?
It is an online community where teens can learn how to create their own business. One of our goals is to make sure that teens who really want to start a business can find the basic info they need in one place.

Here is a longer version of our story if you want to read it:
We are a group of teens and one adult who met at church and decided we needed to do something about business for teens. During a book club, we started talking about making money and business.
We talked about how to make money online and the adult (his name is Lyle, by the way) said we should take this web ’journey’ together. He said that he loves teaching teens and there is not a lot out there for teens who really want to do something with business. He even pointed out that the Bible has a lot to say about business and finance. It figures he would say something like that, since he is a youth minister.
We started in November 2009. Each of us will have a blog (see blogrolls to left) where we will each have our own voice and here in the middle the best of business and money will rise to the top just for you.
BTW: The book we were reading in our book club is called “Do Hard Things: A Teenage Rebellion Against Low Expectations.” Rread their blog here: http://www.therebelution.com/ they have some great thoughts and articles. You can also order their book here.
